The Website
Xnecs - The one stop shop for community safety.
This website aims to provide an invaluable community safety focus for North Edinburgh. Our sections list the contact details of a range of organisations that you may find useful and also essential numbers such as your local police station direct line numbers, national gas emergency service and much more...
"No need to Google it, leaf through yellow pages or dial costly 118 numbers. If you need to phone the flood helpline or report finding a soggy moggy, the contact details for Floodline and the SSPCA are here"
We have included a quick links section providing useful links to websites from Edinburgh City Council to Help the Aged, giving you direct access to a wealth of information with just one click.
The Xnecs local business directory provides an index where you can search for pubs, restaurants, shops, businesses and other local service providers. So if you need to find your nearest fish restaurant just use the search button and you will find the contact details along with directions.
You will also find useful information such as safety advice, safety alerts, crime prevention and a neat way of finding and contacting your local Councillor/MP/MSP.
Our lists are by no means complete, rather they identify some of the major groups that will be a useful first point of contact. If you wish to be included or know of an organisation worth including please dont hesitate to conact us 0845 643 6645 (lo call). We would also welcome any suggestions to help us improve our service to you...
